Courses Description
This is a full-time course which involves on- and off-the-job intensive training. It provides students with the range of practical skills and theoretical knowledge required for the hairdressing industry, with internationally recognised certification. Training is provided in two fully-equipped modern salons.
Throughout the year, other leading experts from the industry will hold workshops in cutting, colouring, barbering, up-styling and hair extensions.
Students may be brought to shows as part of their training and will also have the opportunity to enter Hair Competitions.The Hairdressing students enter National Hairdressing Competitions annually, with WCFE having had many winners over the years. Competition training and workshops with leading hairdressers are included in the Year 2 course.
Minimum Entry Requirements
Successful completion of Hairdressing Year 1 course with a Pass (minimum) in Hairdressing Science and Hairdressing Theory and Practice.
Certification
- QQI Component Certificate at Levels 5 & 6
- Department of Education & Skills Senior Trade Certificate

Excel Version or PDF Version of course costs. Year 1 kit and books will be used again in Year 2.
