Participants on the Adult Access General Learning course will receive interesting, practical and relevant learning that could be applied in a Healthcare or Sporting environment. Course content includes:

  • Personal Effectiveness
  • Computer Applications

  • English as a Second Language (Level 4)

Qualifications & Progression

This course offers a practical and theoretical introduction to the world of nursing, community care, gyms, sports coaching, health related care settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, retirement facilities or in clients’ own homes. Using it as a stepping stone for Further Education studies in Year 2, graduates could become carers, hospital porters, disability care support workers, personal trainers, sports coaches, Emergency Responders, Pharmacy Assistants among many others.

 

It will also set our Graduates up with an excellent knowledge base for Year Two when they will select their next direction of study for a QQI Level 5 qualification in one of the following areas within WCFE:

  • Fitness & Health
  • Sports & Recreation
  • Physiology & Massage
