Courses Description
A full-time course for students who wish to seek employment in the security industry sector or those who are interested in joining An Garda Siochana, the Defence Forces, the Prison Services and the Fire Services.
Minimum Entry Requirements
- Successful Completion of the Leaving Cert/ Leaving Cert Applied.
- Mature applicants and those with relevant prior learning will also be considered.
- Garda Vetting; Students will be required to undergo Garda vetting procedures. Garda Vetting forms will be distributed as part of the registration process.
Progression
- A full QQI Certificate facilitates on a competitive basis entry to a range of third level colleges nationwide. Further details are available from the relevant institutions.

Additional Costs
There are no tuition fees, however costs of approx. €70 may be anticipated for textbooks.
