Description
This is a full-time course which involves on- and off-the-job intensive training. It provides students with the range of practical skills and theoretical knowledge required for the hairdressing industry. Training is provided in two fully-equipped modern salons. As part of this course, other experts from the industry hold workshops with the class throughout the year. This course provides an excellent pathway into the Hairdressing Apprenticeship, allowing a student develop links with salons and get a feel for the industry.

Costs
A student services contribution of €50 is payable on registration. The purpose of which is to cover services, materials, and supports including printing, photocopying, library, student cards etc. This is non refundable.
Progression
Successful completion of Hairdressing Year 1 provides entry to the Hairdressing Year 2 course. QQI (5M3351) is recognized by the Recognition of Prior Learning process to gain advanced entry to Stage 2 of the Hairdressing Apprenticeship.
